Botanical Products:

Botanical pest control is something that has gained in popularity in the last few years.  But what exactly is it?  We offer a botanical pest control solution and we’d like to share with you how it differs from our standard pest control.  From inception, over seven years ago, Noosa Pest has utilized as many botanical products as possible in our regular pest control maintenance programs.  The low impact solutions that the botanical pest control products offer are critical in living out our mission of being stewards of our environment.

Every year, pest control chemical manufacturers introduce new, botanical/environmentally friendly products.  This is not a coincidence.  The manufacturers understand the public’s demand for a more natural way to control pests around their home. Here at Noosa Pest, we follow entrance of the latest products by continuing our close relationship with our distributors and manufacturers at different educational events and industry meetings.

We listen to our clients.  Years ago, many new clients asked for a 100% botanical service.  We delivered.  The expectations of the service, the cost and the frequency are all different from our normal maintenance pest service.  However, our clients deeply appreciate this option.  Whether the circumstances involve a special needs child, aging pet or simply a desire to be more responsible with our environment, people found our botanical pest control service to be a great fit!  We are in the business of offering solutions that make sense to our clients.  Being relevant has always been a priority for our firm.  We will continue to offer this option to our clients as long as we can deliver acceptable results and provide peace of mind to our clients.

The botanical pest control service we offer here in Charlotte NC, is slightly different from our regular maintenance pest service.  The regular pest control service involves inspection, identification, application of chemical and non-chemical means of control for occasional invaders and pests.  The botanical pest control service is very similar.  However, when we make the chemical application, we are utilizing only insecticides with active ingredients derived from plants.  We also must service the botanical accounts more frequently, as the botanical chemistry does not last as long in rain, sunlight, etc. as the products we use in our regular maintenance program.

Less than 10% of our pest control clients subscribe to the botanical pest control service.  The botanical pest control service is approximately 40% more expensive than the regular pest service.  The increase in frequency drives a good bit of that increase.  We encourage clients that have a specific issue that may be challenging to solve with the botanicals (severe ant infestations, for example), to allow us to perform the regular pest service until we have these under control.  Then we can pivot back to the botanical service option.  After all, our clients hire us to keep the pest or insect “pressure” in and around their home to a standard that  is acceptable to them.  Different tolerances for insects dictate whether or not the botanical service is a realistic option.  The botanical products have come a long way in the past 5 years but there is still room for improvement and we must deliver a quality service to our clients.

Lastly, we wanted to share a blog post with you from ahealthysliceoflife.com.  This post was a review of our botanical service done by a local blogger and she shared her experience with our service and the botanical treatment.  Check it out to see what she had to say!
