Greetings holiday travelers!

We all enjoy this special season. Some of us love to escape the cold and cruise the Caribbean. The winter sports family prefers a trip to Boone, West Virginia, or the ultimate in snow fun, Colorado! Those of us who are able to travel for the holidays are a lucky bunch. Although, the luck can easily run out with a bed bug infestation.

Here are a few tips to help get you prepared! The dangers are real, frustrating, and costly.

Bed Bug Travel Tips:

  • Headboards can contain the majority of bed bugs in hotels. Try to remove the headboard from the wall (it’s easy, I promise) for close inspection.
  • Inspect mattress corners, mattress covers and lamp shades next to the bed in your hotel room for infestation.
  • Try to put some light on the situation to make sure you can accurately see anything that may be crawling around or evidence of bed bug infestation.
  • Keep your luggage in the tub of your hotel bathroom and do not bring luggage into your home when you return.

I know it seems like a lot of effort, but it’s worth it!

We hope you have a wonderful upcoming holiday season! Make sure you let us know if we can be of any help to you and your family!
