Who owns Noosa Pest Management?
Noosa Pest Management is proud to be a locally owned and family operated company, but who exactly is that family? Have you ever wondered who is behind the company? There are many pest control providers in the Charlotte area, some large and some small, but each of them was started and is run by someone. That person or family likely shapes the kind of company, and level of service you receive. We think its important to know who you are doing business with so we wanted to share with you some information about the owners of Noosa so you can get to know us even better.
Fred and Ellen Wingate are the “first family” of Noosa. Fred is a Charlotte, North Carolina native. His parents came to Charlotte from Jacksonville, Florida to open a restaurant chain. Raised by serial entrepreneurs, Fred always knew he wanted to own and grow his own successful business. Serving others is a passion and putting good people to work is what drives The Wingates each day. Fred graduated from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida and started Noosa Pest after a successful professional water skiing career in Japan, Australia, Texas, California, Florida and Wisconsin. Fred’s wife Ellen is a from Danville, VA and moved to Charlotte after attending Appalachian State University. After a very successful marketing career, Ellen settled into her role as full time Mom and part time marketing guru for Noosa Pest.
An aspect of business that is important to the Wingates is giving back. Their philosophy is the more we make, the more we can give away. This is how the Wingates think. It is our responsibility to manage our resources and help others in need. This has become a larger part of our business in 2014 and we are so proud of the programs and charities Noosa helps to support.
The Wingates work hard everyday to provide for their two sons, Freddie, eight, and Logan who is five. Logan suffers from a severe form of Epilepsy and you may see them very active in Epilepsy Awareness world. Fred has even dyed his hair purple for over a year, as purple is the color for Epilepsy awareness. Family is at the center of the Wingates’ life and their business is an extension of that family. We are proud to conduct business in a way that is in line with the Wingates vision and values and it is part of what makes Noosa, Noosa! We hope you consider us when you are looking for a pest control provider and know that becoming a client of Noosa means you are now in the family!
